Cookie policy

The Danish Agriculture and Food Council wishes to provide transparent websites with content that is relevant to you. In order to do so, we use technologies that can collect information about how you and other visitors use our websites. The aim of this policy is to create transparency and to give you an overview of what the processing of your personal data entails, what you need to be aware of, as well as the options available for raising any objections.

1 Processing of personal data through the use of cookies

The Danish Agriculture and Food Council’s use of cookies may include the processing of personal data. We recommend, therefore, that you also read our Privacy Policy which describes how we process your personal data and your rights.

2 Consent

By using our websites, you consent to the Danish Agriculture and Food Council using cookies as described below unless you have opted out of cookies in your browser settings.  If you have not opted out of cookies at the time of the submission of your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent by blocking cookies in your browser.

3 What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your computer’s hard drive, smartphone or other electronic device. However, the meaning of the word "cookies" in this policy and in the consent text covers other types of automated data collection, e.g. Flash cookies (Local Shared Objects), Web Storage (HTML5), JavaScripts or cookies placed through the use of other software. The word "cookies" also refers to information about MAC addresses and other information about your device.

Cookies can be used by the Danish Agriculture and Food Council and other third parties.

There are basically two types of cookies, "temporary" cookies and "permanent" cookies. The temporary cookies are linked to any current visit to our websites and are deleted automatically when you close your web browser. However, permanent cookies will be stored on your computer. Permanent cookies delete themselves after a certain period but will be renewed every time you visit the website.

4 How to avoid and delete cookies?

If you do not want the Danish Agriculture and Food Council to place or read cookies on your computer, you may opt out of cookies in your browser, where you can choose which cookies should be allowed, blocked or deleted. How to do so depends on what kind of browser you are using. Remember that if you are using multiple browsers you will have to delete the cookies in all of them.
